Fjord Hikes · Stavanger and Lysebotn
Two days with Fjord Hikes: Preikestolen on the first, then up the Lysefjord to a night in Lysebotn, then Kjerag on the second morning. Pick it to do both famous hikes without the 5-hour round drive on Kjerag day.

This is Fjord Hikes' answer to the question everyone asks in Stavanger: can I do both? Day one starts at 7:00 with a guided hike to Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), about 5 hours on the listing. Then comes an hour and a half on the Lysefjord, ticket included, and the evening in Lysebotn, the village at the inner end of the fjord. You sleep in a private room at Lysefjorden Turisthytte, a staffed DNT lodge, with dinner included.
Day two is the reason to book. From Lysebotn the van climbs the 27 hairpins of the Lysevegen road to Øygardstøl in about 30 minutes, so you start the Kjerag trail before the vans from Stavanger have finished their 2.5-hour drive. Breakfast and lunch are included, then the full hike: about 5 hours on the listing, three chained climbs and the boulder.
The honest bits. It's new, with no reviews on this listing yet, though the same company's Kjerag day hike holds 5.0 from 52. It costs $1,077 per person, against about $396 for the two guided day hikes booked separately, so the difference pays for the night, three meals, the fjord and a far shorter drive on Kjerag day. Two big hikes back to back is hard on the legs: the listing asks for strong fitness. And it lives on Lysebotn's summer season, since the lodge opens from May to October only.
Your guide meets you in front of the pickup point you chose.
The guided hike to Pulpit Rock: about 8 km return, around 500 m of climbing and the 604 m drop to the fjord at the top.
The fjord leg towards Lysebotn, ticket included, deep into the part of the fjord that Stavanger sightseeing boats never reach.
Dinner and a private room at Lysefjorden Turisthytte, at the head of the fjord below Kjerag.
Breakfast, then 30 minutes up the Lysevegen road to the Kjerag trailhead at Øygardstøl.
Three chained climbs to Kjeragbolten and back, with lunch included, then the drive back to Stavanger.
★★★★★We had a great time on our hike. We were a small group (5 people) and our guide Erlend was fantastic. The hike is challenging in parts because it is very steep, but it's worth it. A fun experience and incredible views. The whole tour was very well organised.
★★★★★Our guide Stephan was an expert, he knew every detail of the hike. The tempo of trail was perfect. He anticipated the difficult part and gave plenty of warning, and lent you a hand just when you needed it.

If time and legs matter more than money, yes. Two separate guided days cost about $396 and two long van days; this trip costs $1,077, adds a night, three meals and the fjord, and cuts the Kjerag drive to 30 minutes. On a budget, book the Pulpit Rock hike and the Kjerag hike separately.
